Illustration
As part of my degree I have been doing a module on Visual Language. This
is an illustration i did from an image in a magazine. I love to use
water colours so i have been experimenting with different methods.
Here's the outcome...

E.G.
Here's a designer that has heavily influenced my current project for my fashion degree. She is a relatively fresh face on the fashion scene named Emma Griffiths and has set up a label named E.G. She uses pannelling in a very striking way as you can see for yourself. I am also very jeallous that she has worked with Alexander McQueen!
The label designs for independant women with an elegant and strong attitude. Strong, clean lines are evident all the way through her collections as well as attention to detail. I'm very impressed.

My new favourite shop
Ok so I was forced to go into this cute little shop on King street in Carmarthen today and didn't want to leave once i saw the contents. It has some kiddies stuff in there, a lot of reminiscent vintage stuff i.e. bags, jewellery and nic nacs, and then i found this little gem...
This fox ring is made by a jeweller named Rosie Fox (yes very apt) who i hear is making a name for herself. I have kidnapped this particular cutie in the form of a christmas pressie from the other half :D and am very pleased with myself. The shop is called Magpies and has a facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Magpies-Carmarthen/144852558860560. I definitely recommend a look around this shop! Oh and I'm afraid i've snapped up this lovely ring but there's a lot more beautiful little gems hiding in there waiting for you, here are some of my other favourites...

My first eveeeer blog
So I've never done this before, but I'm going to use this blog to share everything i.e. influences for my fashion course and general things that I'm interested in.
So for this first post i'm going to write about an artist that I recently found while perusing the web and am now slightly obsessed with. He is a metalsmith called Liao Yibai who has created a wide range of unusual metal work.
This ring is actually 3.3 feet tall and i love the detail. This image is
the reason i looked Liao Yibai up in the first place because it really
drew me in. Yibai has done so many more fascinating pieces and they are all oversized like the ring, so here
are my favourites
